Justin Hunter

Justin Hunter, the youngest of five siblings, was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. His earliest memories include visiting his grandparents’ farmhouse, which was filled with a variety of musical instruments that fascinated him as a youngster. Justin credits his grandparents for sparking his interest in music and inspiring him to become a singer-songwriter.

Growing up in Texas, Justin had a quintessential southern upbringing. He participated in rodeos throughout school and played football under the Friday night lights at Bridgeport High. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas, where he served overseas during the Iraq War. His time in the military helped him sharpen his skills as a singer-songwriter and cement his decision to pursue music as a career.

After leaving the Army, Justin began recording his original songs and formed a band to play live shows. He has had four songs in the top 100 on the Texas Charts in the past two years. His next single, “Long Way From Abilene,” is poised for similar success in the Texas Charts. Justin’s distinctive country style and passion for writing, recording, and performing have earned him a loyal and enthusiastic following in the country music scene. The Justin Hunter Band performs at various venues across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas.

At home in Cleburne, Texas, Justin and his wife Haley are raising their children and a menagerie of farm animals. Music is a central part of their lives, just as it was at Justin’s grandparents’ farmhouse. As Justin puts it, “It’s the soundtrack of our lives.”
