Kelly Kenning

Kelly Kenning is a Texas-born country singer who has been performing since the age of 11. He formed his first band, Wildfire, at age 13, and they quickly gained local attention with their song “Love’s Not a Game.” After Wildfire disbanded, Kelly went on to form The Rocking Horse Riders, where he honed his traditional country sound and opened for legends like George Jones and Conway Twitty. In 1996, Tracy Lawrence encouraged Kelly to move to Nashville to pursue his music career.
Throughout his career, Kelly has prioritized strong songwriting and has been recognized for his talents. He won the 2017 TCMA Christian Country Songwriter of the Year award and the 2020 CMA of Texas Songwriter of the Year award. Kelly’s commitment to traditional country music is evident in his live performances and recordings, and his music continues to resonate with fans of the genre.
